Downtown Vancouver is famous for how few gas stations it has left. Decades of condo towers on land worth more as real estate than as fuel retail squeezed the peninsula down to a small handful of survivors — the Coal Harbour and West End stations are among the last pumps between Stanley Park and False Creek — and with almost no competition inside the core, they post some of the highest prices in the entire city. If you drive downtown, the honest advice is to arrive with fuel, not to hunt for it here.
When you do need to fill on the peninsula, the ranked list below shows every downtown station we track by its current regular price, with distance from the core. Better still, plan a top-up just outside it: the stations along Main Street and Terminal Avenue at the eastern edge, or across the bridges on West 4th and Cambie, routinely run several cents cheaper than anything inside the downtown grid.
